Even though Gustavus is part of the main land of Alaska
it is like living on an island. It is on the out edge of
Glacier Bay's National Park. There are no roads
connecting it to the rest of Alaska. In fact the only paved
road here is 10 miles long reaching from the airport to
Glacier Bay, Bartlet Cove.
So the only way to get here is buy plane or by boat.
In the Summer Alaska's Jet flies in making a quick stop in
Juneau first.
