Bear is one of the 3 dogs
we use in the native
traditional side by side
team. We affectionately
call the them the fluffies
as you can see by his
beautiful long coat.
Bear is a sweet and loving
dog. He is also known for
his hugs.
And if Baronof doesn't get
what we call his lap time he
gets very depressed and
won't eat.
He is also pretty strong
about what he wants to do
so he doesn't get the job of
lead dog. But he is very
happy to help the team
along
His nick name is Bear, he
just loves to gives big
bear hugs
He is so cute how could you resist?
Bear
See - I knew you couldn't resist
Please just one more hug!
Our Bear
Bear
I may be shy, but doesn't it
look good on me?

Casa
Casa is about the biggest of the girls but she is also
the shyest of the team. But once she does make
friends with you she will always be happy to see you.
She too would prefer to help the team in any position
accept the lead.
Homemade cookies,
Yea!

Casa
My turn for a hug

Casa
I am the Mommy, I should get double
the cookies, Please???

Chena
Mmmm Good cookies

Chena
Chena is a full bred
Mackenzie River Husky
and the lovely mother of
the team members except
for Neyomok.
She was quite happy to
provide the puppies for
the team, and has since
decided on a self
imposed retirement from
mushing on the big team,
but does enjoy going out
with a couple dogs.
She still likes to boss
everyone around.
Her favorite spot is in
front of the heater and
enjoys her daily run on
the beach with
Daddy-Chris.
She is very friendly and
likes to greet all the
visitors who come to the
Husky Ranch
Don't I look innocent?
OK, who told?

Chena
OH LOOK, Visitors!

Chena
I'll be Your Lead Dog if
You Give Me a Treat!

Foxy
Did Someone Say Cookies?

Foxy
Foxy is our smallest, but
feistiest dog on the team.
She makes up for her size
with her enthusiastic
attitude and strong
determination.
She is a lead dog and
feels glorified in her
position.
She also does well
running in a three dog team
side by side in the
traditional native style
team with her sisters,
Ruby and Tearsa, that are
similar in size.
At times she has been a
bit to proud and
determined and had to be
put in another position on
the team. You can see
right away she is unhappy
with it and ready to
behave.
She also loves to meet
everyone.
Oh please, my turn to be
Lead Dog

Foxy
Man That Was a Fun Run!

Foxy
And Visitors, GREAT!

Glacier
Always ready for cookies!

Glacier
This guy is truly an
impressive sight weighing
in at about 130 lbs.
His size is surely
misleading, he is very
friendly and a favorite
among the children.
His beautiful blue eyes
and quiet nature invites
everyone to pet and hug
him.
With his strength and size
he has the position of
wheel dog to help direct
the turning of the sled.
Ok I Cant take it,oh
please, I'm over here
pet me!
pet me!

Glacier
Just playing it cool

Glacier
Are We Ready to Go Mushing?

Kachina
Kachina
Posing with my good side

Kachina
Kachina has boundless
energy and likes lots of
attention, she also likes to
give lots of kisses.
She is partnered up with
Glacier as a wheel dog,
but she loves mushing so
much she doesn't care
what position she has as
long as she is getting to go.
She is tall and long legged
and visitors have said how
much she resembles her
wolf cousins.
KaChena is an escape
artist. She is the first to
break through the fence
and the last to come home.
Boy Was That Bag of
Cookies Good!

Kachina
I swear I didn't break
through the fence...
.

Kachina
Squirrel? Did You Say squirrel?

Neyomok
What did you say?

Neyomok
This little guy is about 2
years old and is not as
experienced as the rest
of the team.
He has boundless
energy and wants to run
with the big dogs but he
only wants to run to
Mommy-Darlene!
Neyomok is very
competitive and doesn't
want any other
dog-teams, bicyclists or
cars to pass him. He had
visions of grandeur of
someday being an
Iditarod Champion.
Go Neo!
He has acquired the nick
name hopper because
he gets so excited to
mush he leaps and
lunges into the air, over
other dogs, trying to get
the team going.  The
faster the better
according to him.
He is a devoted
companion but needs
lots of outlets for all that
energy.
MOM, where are you going?

Neyomok
Ok, no squirrel, Don't leave with
out me .

Neyomok
Ok, NOW you have my
attention

Raven
Visitors?

Raven
Raven isn't as big as her
brother Glacier but she is
definitely fluffier. She is
one of 3 dogs that have
the longer hair. We
usually put them together
on the 3 dog team and
they make quite a perfect
picture.  She tends to be
a bit shy but with a face
like this you can't help
but love her. She loves
her job as team dog and
is a very willing runner.
She is usually in the
position just behind the
lead dog, running next to
anyone but Ruby .
Ok, just playing it cool

Raven
reeeaaaly coool

Raven
just playing hard to get

Ruby
did some one say cookie?

Ruby
Ruby is one of the smallest
dogs on the team who was
shy and timid as a puppy
but is gaining confidence
and is now ready to take on
the world, or at least her
big sister Raven!  For some
reason Ruby and Raven do
not like each other and are
continually arguing with
each other through the
fence.  We thought Raven
was the instigator because
she is bigger, but we soon
found out it was Ruby's big
attitude that starts the
disputes.
Ruby is a hard worker on
the team, she puts her
head down and pulls hard.
She is very serious about
what she's doing.
Oh no, here comes
Raven!!!

Ruby
15 laps and ready for a nap

Ruby
Tatiana's Always Smiling

Tatiana
Come On' Down to My Level!

Tatiana
Tatiana is our best lead
dog, as well as being part
of the 3 dog team we
affectionately call the
fluffies.  She loves being
out front and does a good
job of listening and
performing her duties.
It takes a very special dog
to perform this task well.
Tatiana is our most
mischievous dog and has
gotten the nick name
"Naughty-Taughty".  She
is a slipper thief and is
always trying to get the
pack worked up about
something!
She is not shy and loves
to meet new people.
did you get my good side?

Tatiana
being bashful

Tatiana
in her famous pet me pose

Tearsa
waiting for her harness

Tearsa
Tearsa-Joy is very sweet
and hard working.  She
is as steady as they
come as far as mushing
goes.
She loves to be petted
and once you start, she
will keep reminding you
with her paw that you
should keep on petting
her!
Tearsa is a sock thief.
We know she has a sock
when she bolts for the
door with her head down
and tries to get outside
before we notice.
Pleeeease just let me loose so
I can play with Neo's squirrel!

Tearsa
Hey - Did Neo just see a squirrel?

Tearsa
No Squirrels were harmed in
making this web site
