Gustavus is a rare and wonderful place to visit and to be a part of. Husky Ranch owners Chris & Marilyn Trump are descendants of one of the first original homesteaders, Abraham Lincoln Parker, that came here in 1916. Chris can tell you great old-time stories about Gustavus and gold mining in Glacier Bay! The Husky Ranch is becoming a great part of our little town, starting a new tradition of an ancient art of dog sledding. Visitors from all over the world come to Glacier Bay to see the beautiful views, glaciers, wildlife and now they can also experience the thrills of dog sledding. The Great Alaska Husky Ranch is just one of many fun activities Gustavus has to offer. |

| About The Team Chena is the mother of all but one of the dogs on our team. She is Mackenzie River Husky, a rare and beautiful Husky from a highly selective breeding program in Alaska. Chena found a fantastic Pappa for the pups, a Husky-Malamute from the Yukon. It was love at first site and the result was these great dogs that you can meet here at the Husky Ranch. For more information on the history of the various husky breeds and individual pictures please visit our "Team", "Mackenzie River Husky", and "Siberian Husky" pages. |
